We received a frantic call with a heartbreaking ultimatum: four newborn lion cubs were facing euthanasia. Their mother had tragically passed away, leaving them vulnerable and alone in a world that didn’t have a place for them.
Without a second thought, we said yes.
From Tragedy to Sanctuary
The initial hours were a whirlwind of adrenaline and emotion. Seeing these four tiny, spotted bundles of fur—so fragile and yet so full of potential—was a sobering reminder of the delicate balance of nature. Saving them was the easy part; the real work began the moment they crossed our threshold.
Because they are so young, they require 24-hour round-the-clock care. We have officially stepped into the role of surrogate parents, which means:
